I am an interdisciplinary artist with a focus in Oil Painting and Digital artwork. Although I grew up practicing drawing and other forms of art, I thought of it as an added benefit to my graphic design and photography professional career. However, my studies in graphic design and photography ended up being a useful tool in my painting career. I am currently working towards my BFA in Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking at Georgia State University.

In this body of work,I hope to elicit the feeling of isolation within the viewer. Having them in such a vulnerable state will hopefully have the viewer empathize with the subjects. With my new work, I will be specifically exploring the relationship between mental illness and addiction. The emotional wounds from quarantine are still healing. Everyone experiencing mental illness and addiction before only spiraled further after being isolated from society for such an extended period. I hope to combine the styles of the two with realistic images and fantastical elements. The juxtaposition helps the viewer relate to the realistic subjects while the fantasy elements aim to represent the mind and illnesses of the subjects.
